Reed Finance are currently assisting an established and friendly accountancy practice who are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the team on a 3-month temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a practice-trained accountant who can quickly integrate into a busy environment and support the team during a period of increased workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing sole trader, partnership and limited company accounts
- Completing and submitting personal tax returns (SA100)
- Preparing corporation tax returns
- Reviewing bookkeeping work completed by junior staff and bookkeepers
- Identifying and correcting errors, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
- Providing support to partners and managers on a range of client assignments
- Assisting with general practice accounting duties as required
Requirements
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential
- Strong knowledge of accounts preparation for sole traders and limited companies
- Experience preparing personal and corporate tax returns
- Confident reviewing and supervising bookkeeping work
- Familiarity with cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
- AAT, ACA, ACCA qualified or qualified by experience (QBE) considered
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
