Civils- Senior Project Manager
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a major civil engineering scheme on the South Coast .The project involves demolition, RCworks highways, service diversions general remediation works
The Role
You will manage the project from late pre-construction into delivery You will take responsibility for day-to-day project delivery, coordinating site teams, subcontractors and design inputs to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day management of site and project teams

Supporting design development and construction planning

Work closely with the Contracts Manager to confirm that suitable labour, plant and subcontractor resources are in place, using approved agencies and suppliers.

Manage site setup, facilities and logistics efficiently, ensuring all plant and equipment is appropriate for the works and operated only by trained and competent personnel.

Arrange and coordinate material orders, managing deliveries to align with the construction programme and procurement timelines.

Coordinate with the design team to support the timely issue of drawings and technical information, working through the Design Manager where applicable, particularly on design-and-build schemes.

Lead and coordinate site teams and subcontractors, driving productivity and performance in line with the overall programme.

Monitor and enforce standards of workmanship, materials and compliance with specifications, statutory regulations, health and safety and quality requirements.

Ensure site teams and subcontractors adhere to agreed operational procedures and site standards.

Maintain regular communication with the Contracts Manager on cost management, resource efficiency and waste control.
Requirements

Experience as a Project Manager or Senior Site Manager in civil engineering

Demonstrable experience leading Design & Build projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams

Strong stakeholder engagement capability, with experience managing client and supply chain relationships

Formal qualification in construction or engineering, or equivalent industry experience

Recognised project management qualification (e.g. APM, PMP or similar)

Sound commercial acumen with proven experience working under NEC forms of contract

Ability to proactively identify, manage and exploit risk and opportunity

Proven capability to manage projects through the full lifecycle from inception to completion

Track record of delivering projects to agreed budgets, programmes and cost targets
Salary range
- £70,000 - £80,000
