Senior Project Manager

An established and fast-growing main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to deliver a high-profile regeneration scheme on the South Coast.

The business operates within a supportive but high-performing environment, offering long-term career progression and the opportunity to work on complex, technically challenging projects.



The Project

The role centres around a major seafront regeneration scheme involving the demolition, replacement and refurbishment of historic structures.

Works will be delivered across two concurrent phases and include:

  • Demolition works

  • New in-situ reinforced concrete structures

  • Reinstatement of listed and heritage elements

  • Highway works and service diversions

  • Public realm improvements

  • Architectural, mechanical and electrical works

  • External and internal fit-out elements



The Role

You will take the project from the latter stages of pre-construction through to site commencement in Q1 2026, followed by delivery through to phased handovers in 2027 and 2028.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing the project delivery team

  • Managing client, consultant and stakeholder relationships

  • Overseeing design development and coordination

  • Establishing construction methodology and programme

  • Ensuring safe, efficient and compliant site operations

  • Full contractual, commercial and financial responsibility



Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager with a main contractor

  • Track record of delivering projects valued at 20m+

  • Strong leadership and team management capability

  • Excellent technical, contractual and commercial awareness

  • Experience delivering public sector schemes under NEC contracts (preferred)

Salary range

  • £85,000 - £90,000
