Senior Quantity Surveyor Job - Permanent - To start ASAP - Hybrid working - Paying circa £73K + package

Your new role

  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for projects.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Prepare and negotiate variations to the main contract.
  • Drive profitability across all contracts through effective cost management.
  • Ensure all activities comply with quality, safety, and environmental standards, as well as company procedures.
  • Assess and certify interim and final payments for subcontractors.
  • Monitor and control contract costs against approved budgets.
  • Identify potential risks and implement strategies for mitigation.
  • Manage procurement of subcontractors, including drafting and issuing subcontract agreements.
  • Assist in compiling documentation for dispute resolution processes (e.g., adjudication, arbitration).
  • What you'll need to succeed
  • Extensive background as a Quantity Surveyor, with expertise in managing projects under the NEC form of contract.
  • Proven experience delivering civil engineering projects for a main contractor.
  • Skilled in applying innovative solutions to complex problems and adept at negotiating across all levels within the construction environment.
  • Highly ambitious professional with strong communication skills, confidence, and a flexible approach to challenges.
  • Possesses exceptional numeracy and IT proficiency to meet the financial and analytical demands of the role.
