Site Engineer - Water Civils Long-Term Contract
Sussex / Kent Long-Term Programme CIS

Site Engineer looking for your next long-term contract?

If you want a role where you're trusted to own the engineering rather than simply spend your day setting out points, this is worth a look.
Carrington West are supporting an established civil engineering contractor delivering multiple water infrastructure packages across Sussex and Kent, with opportunities for experienced Site Engineers to join from September/ October.

With work programmed throughout 2027, the attraction here is simple: technical civils work combined with genuine contract longevity.

The opportunity
You'll work closely with the Site Manager and Supervisors, taking ownership of the engineering assurance needed to keep construction moving.

The work will involve a mixture of:

Setting out civil engineering works
Reinforced concrete and structural civils
Excavations and below-ground construction
Chambers, drainage and pipework
Associated water infrastructure
QA and ITPs
As-built surveys and construction records
Technical queries and drawing interpretation
Supporting temporary works and construction sequencing

You'll be expected to spot issues before they become programme problems, provide the site team with accurate information and maintain the QA trail required to get the works handed over.

Why would you move?
For a contractor, the value isn't just the first assignment. You're joining a contractor with multiple packages and a forward programme of work, creating the potential to move between projects and maintain continuity as individual packages complete.

It gives you:
Long-term earning potential - work programmed through 2027.
Proper engineering responsibility - setting out, QA, as-builts, technical problem-solving and supporting construction delivery.
Water-sector experience - valuable exposure if you're looking to build your track record through AMP8.
A pipeline, not just one project - potential continuity across multiple packages for Engineers who deliver.

What we're looking for

You'll need to be someone who can mobilise quickly and operate with minimal hand-holding.

Ideally you'll have:
Site Engineering experience within civils
Strong setting-out capability
RC / groundworks / below-ground civils experience
Experience producing QA records, ITPs and as-builts
Ability to interpret construction drawings
Water or utilities experience highly desirable
Relevant engineering qualification
CSCS

If you're finishing a contract around September/October and want to line up something with real longevity rather than another short-term assignment, I'd like to speak with you.
