The Company

Our client is a well-established, privately owned residential developer with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality housing schemes across the South of England.

They are known for producing thoughtfully designed developments that combine traditional build methods with modern standards, delivering a mix of family housing and apartment schemes in desirable locations.

With a stable pipeline of secured projects and a focus on long-term growth rather than volume-driven output, they offer a professional, structured, and delivery-focused working environment. Their sites are typically well-resourced, well-managed, and built with a strong emphasis on quality, programme, and customer satisfaction.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join the team on a live residential development in Shoreham-by-Sea.

You will take responsibility for the delivery of housing and low-rise apartment units, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to a consistently high standard.

This is a role suited to someone who can run their section with confidence, maintain strong organisation on site, and keep progress moving without the need for constant oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations across housing and apartment plots
  • Manage subcontractors, trades, and site teams effectively
  • Drive programme and ensure key milestones are achieved
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety and build quality
  • Coordinate build stages from structure through to handover
  • Provide clear and concise weekly updates to the Project Manager
  • Ensure site remains organised, efficient, and well run

About You

  • Proven experience in residential housebuilding (essential)
  • Strong track record delivering houses and apartment schemes
  • Highly organised, reliable, and capable of running a site autonomously
  • Strong knowledge of NHBC standards and UK building regulations
  • Professional, no-nonsense approach with a focus on delivery
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualified

Salary range

  • £65,000 - £70,000
