Structural EngineerUK (Remote)£40,000 to £55,000Full-time37.5 hours per weekClarke is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Engineerto join our Engineering team and take ownership of structural design across a wide range of telecom infrastructure projects. This is a critical technical role for someone with deep structural engineering expertise, telecoms experience, and a proactive mindset.The RoleAs a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for the structural adequacy of telecom site designs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering high-quality engineering outputs. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to produce cost-effective, safe, and buildable solutions.The role can be carried out remotely, or from office locations in Manchester, Glasgow or Redhill.Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design process from feasibility to build-ready documentation.
- Produce and sign off Planning Drawings, Detailed Designs, and structural calculations.
- Conduct feasibility and design surveys, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Liaise with clients, site providers, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, CDM 2015, and Health & Safety standards.
- Manage internal and external CAD quality and feedback.
- Maintain project documentation including Design Risk Assessments.
- Support cost-saving initiatives through material reuse and efficient design.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Experience designing structural components for telecom site deployment.
- Strong CAD quality assurance skills.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and remote collaboration.
- Knowledge of CDM 2015 and Health & Safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
- Qualifications in structural design.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-demand environments.
- Commercial awareness and ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis.
- Highly organised and methodical.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage conflicting priorities.
