Day-to-day of the role:
- Take full responsibility for managing a varied workload of professional self-employed clients.
- Prepare Income & Expenditure accounts from various sources including salary and rental income.
- Prepare personal tax returns and submissions to HMRC.
- Perform complex calculations involving pension tax and advise on related matters. Training will be provided in this area.
- Provide ad hoc tax advice as required.
- Develop close working relationships with clients and team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience working for a UK firm of accountants is essential.
- ACCA/ACA/ATT/CTA qualified or time-barred, with a strong background in tax.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a keen ability to solve complex tax problems.
- Competency in using cloud-based systems and adapting to new IT systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong client relationships.
