Your Impact: What You'll Do

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and effective learning experience for our students, especially those with autism and challenging behaviours. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individual and group support tailored to student needs.

  • Assisting teachers in planning, preparing, and implementing engaging lesson plans.

  • Implementing effective behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques with a calm and understanding approach.

  • Monitoring student progress diligently and providing valuable feedback to teachers.

  • Cultivating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment where all students feel valued.

  • Collaborating with parents and other school staff to ensure holistic support for student learning and well-being.

  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and behaviour to inform interventions.
