Join a growing, well-established engineering business delivering commercial cooling, heating and refrigeration solutions across the region. This hands-on Technical Manager role bridges the office and field, providing technical leadership while developing engineers and apprentices.
You ll play a key role in maintaining high standards of safety, quality and compliance while supporting continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and supervise engineers and apprentices.
- Provide senior technical support on complex faults, commissioning and system design.
- Carry out site surveys, technical scopes and equipment selections.
- Oversee F-Gas compliance, RAMS, safety audits and quality standards.
- Support REFCOM Elite requirements and maintain audit-ready records.
- Plan PPM, reactive and project work with the office team using JobLogic.
- Support tenders, technical method statements and client meetings.
- Monitor job costs, identify remedial opportunities and manage technical complaints.
Skills & Knowledge Required
- 7+ years commercial AC/refrigeration engineering experience.
- 2+ years experience supervising or leading engineers.
- F-Gas Category 1 and NVQ Level 3 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or equivalent.
- Strong fault-finding experience across split, VRF/VRV and heat pump systems.
- Proven chiller experience, including scroll, screw or water-cooled systems.
- SSSTS/SMSTS, IOSH Managing Safely and TM44/energy assessment experience.
- Strong communication, organisation and commercial awareness.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience using job management software; JobLogic experience is advantageous.
