Are you a hands-on Mechanical Engineering Specialist looking for a short-term project?

Excellent opportunity for a Technical Specialist to support the rectification and improvement of our Mechanical Engineering Workshops for an FE College.

This urgent contract role will provide expert technical leadership, professional judgement, and practical input to ensure the workshops are safe, compliant, and fully ready for teaching, learning, and assessment.

The Role:
Technical Specialist - Mechanical Engineering Workshops
Supporting the rectification and improvement of workshop facilities
Hands-on involvement with machinery, layout, and compliance
Contract role, 6-8 weeks, immediate start

The Person:
Extensive experience in mechanical engineering or metalwork workshop environments
Strong practical knowledge of industrial machinery, workshop safety, and compliance
Experience applying health and safety legislation in engineering settings
Ability to make technical judgements and deliver practical solutions
Experience working collaboratively in education, industrial training, or similar technical environments (FE experience desirable but not essential)
