This Vehicle Technician role provides a highly competitive salary package, with earnings up to £38,000 depending on experience. Working schedule includes a guaranteed five-day week, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays on rota (1 in 2), and a day off when working a Saturday. Duties:
- Perform vehicle servicing and mechanical repairs to high standards and in compliance with safety regulations
- Assist with tyre fitting, wheel alignments, and adjustments
- Fit brakes, exhausts, and other mechanical components efficiently and accurately
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and documenting inspections and repairs accurately
- Identify additional faults during vehicle inspections and communicate findings clearly to customers and management
- Support other workshop tasks as required, maintaining a clean and organised work environment
- Uphold excellent customer service standards, explaining technical issues clearly to clients
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role within a motor trade environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills
- Full UK driving licence with no more than six points (subject to licence checks)
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to explain technical issues to customers
- Positive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality service
