Logistics & Warehouse Manager

Salary: £45,000 £50,000 per annum

Harris Lord Recruitment is working with an established distribution business looking to recruit an experienced and confident Logistics & Warehouse Manager to lead its warehouse operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong, hands-on leader who has experience working within an environment involving chemicals, hazardous materials or dangerous goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily running of warehouse and logistics operations.

• Lead, motivate and develop the warehouse team, ensuring high standards of performance.

• Ensure the safe handling, storage and movement of hazardous and regulated products.

• Maintain excellent health and safety standards, including emergency procedures.

• Manage staff performance, resolve challenging situations and confidently handle difficult conversations.

• Oversee stock control, inventory management and distribution activities.

• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and processes.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing a busy warehouse or distribution operation.

• Previous experience working with chemicals, hazardous materials or dangerous goods is essential.

• Strong understanding of safe storage, handling procedures and workplace safety requirements.

• Confident leadership skills with experience managing challenging situations and difficult conversations.

• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving abilities.

• Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.

Desirable: Higher-level IOSH qualification, ideally at management/director level, and knowledge of ADR regulations.
