It's a fantastic opportunity to build your skills in a supportive team and launch your career in the water industry.<h4>Main Responsibilities</h4><ul><li>Help our senior engineers come up with smart technical solutions for our capital projects.</li><li>Work alongside our engineering team, assisting on a variety of projects to make sure everything runs smoothly and on time.</li><li>Get hands-on with creating key project documents, including scope documents, design drawings, and important health and safety (CDM) paperwork.</li><li>Get out of the office for on-site visits, where you'll help guide our contractors and check that work meets our high standards.</li><li>Keep an eye on things and let the Project Manager know about any issues that might affect project timings or costs.</li><li>Chat with different stakeholders and handle the process of getting the external approvals we need for our projects to go ahead.</li><li>Take charge of your own development as part of our graduate training programme, tracking your progress and growing your skills with our support.</li></ul><h4>What you'll need</h4><ul><li>A qualification (HNC, HND, or degree) in Civil Engineering or a similar subject.</li><li>Good engineering sense and a solid grasp of industry standards and best practices.</li><li>Great organisational and time management skills – you know how to get things done on schedule.</li><li>Some entry-level experience in civil engineering projects, perhaps from a placement or internship.</li><li>A full UK driving licence, as you'll be visiting our sites.</li></ul><h4>It will be a bonus if you have</h4><ul><li>Experience using design software like AutoCAD.</li><li>A keen interest in the UK water industry.</li><li>Membership (or you're working towards it) with a professional body like the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).</li></ul>#LI-DNI​ We want to be the water company people want to be supplied by and want to work for. Overview Project Manager - Civil Engineering based in Crawley for a Regional Civil Engineering Contractor. Manage a variety of Civil Engineering schemes across the UK with values up to £30m. You will be part of the management team, reporting to the Regional Director and overseeing site teams including Agents, Sub Agents, Engineers, Foremen and Sub Contractors. Responsibilities <ul><li>To profitably complete projects in accordance with the client's specifications and to ensure client satisfaction.</li><li>Plan resources and resolve shortfalls or over-re sourcing issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.</li><li>Coordinate and manage interfaces with other parts of the division.</li><li>Ensure all personnel under your control, including subcontractors, work in accordance with company policies, are trained, competent, aware, and work safely.</li><li>Jointly prepare project Cost Value Reports &amp; Contract Status Reports with commercial staff.</li><li>Liaise with estimating to provide value engineering expertise and lessons learnt to allow the division to submit quality, competitive tenders.</li><li>Deliver project schemes profitably and on time to enhance the company's reputation and pursue further business opportunities.</li><li>Assist in recognising new client targets and develop approaches with the Commercial Manager.</li></ul> Qualifications &amp; Experience <ul><li>Must have extensive experience operating at PM level on civil engineering schemes.</li><li>Previous experience of civil, earthworks, highways/roads, and design-and-build projects.</li><li>Degree qualified and able to manage a project team.</li></ul> Salary, Location &amp; Benefits Salary: £60k - £70k + package.
