Civil Engineer

As a Leakage Technician in our Data PRV team, your main responsibility will be to maintain and repair our leakage data equipment and systems. We use advanced technology to locate and fix leaks to protect our water supply. We are already one of the top water companies in terms of leakage performance, but we constantly strive to improve. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment such as pressure reducing valves, data loggers, and water flow meters. You will also collaborate with colleagues on data logging and leakage projects. It is important that you have a strong customer focus, take pride in your work, and aim for the best outcomes. Ideally, you will have experience in leakage detection, water distribution networks, or water production. A company van will be provided for travel, and all you need is a clean driver's license. You will work 37 hours per week on a shift rota between 7am and 7pm from Monday to Saturday, and there may be occasions when you are required to assist customers outside of regular hours. You may also be put on a standby rota, with hours agreed locally.Main responsibilities:<ul><li>Maintain and repair all leakage data equipment and software systems effectively.</li><li>Maintain PRVs (and similar apparatus) identified by our maintenance program.</li><li>Troubleshoot data issues which could lead to zonal integrity and suspect flows. Summary:Join our team as a Catchment Advisor in the the Kent region to lead the development and implementation of critical catchment management activities in priority drinking water areas. This multi-faceted role involves close collaboration with statutory and non-statutory stakeholders, including charities, NGOs, landowners, businesses, and the Environment Agency (EA).You'll be instrumental in ensuring regulatory compliance with the Water Industry National Environment Programme (WINEP) and supporting Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI) obligations. A key focus will be on stakeholder engagement, education, and compliance assurance to protect water resources and address water quality issues.This position plays a vital role in achieving our carbon footprint reduction goals and delivering strong customer value through sustainable water management. Restoring Sustainable Abstraction Advisor (RSA)

Summary:Do you have a proven track record in ensuring environmental compliance and promoting sustainable practices in engineering projects? Do you enjoy conducting environmental assessments, writing contract documents, and auditing construction works for compliance? As Environmental Performance Officer Engineering, you will act as key support to the Environmental Performance Team to ensure all environmental aspects of projects are managed from the initial design stage, through to construction across the capital works programme for engineering, working to reduce the overall environmental impact of development, ensuring compliance, promoting good practice and sustainable practices. You will work directly with the engineering delivery team, consultants and Contractors for assessment of engineering works, desktop assessment and writing of contract documents. SEW sites and infrastructure are across a range of landscapes including protected designated Sites of Scientific Interest, habitats for protected species and Areas of Outstanding Beauty, so will require experience in how to mitigate works in these areas, and engaging with specialists, stakeholders and consultants when required for further input. The role will also include auditing of construction works with compliance that will be reported to on a monthly basis.
