About the role of Design Manager
- Looking for a design manager to work on a long term commercial build.
- The project value is 5,000,000.
- Manage the design process throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate consultants, architects, and specialist subcontractors.
- Review design information and ensure buildability.
- Identify and resolve design and technical issues.
- Monitor design programmes and ensure key deadlines are achieved.
- Liaise with project delivery teams to ensure seamless coordination.
Responsibilities of Design Manager
- Manage and coordinate the design programme.
- Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Review drawings and technical information for buildability and compliance.
- Identify and resolve design and technical issues.
- Ensure design information is issued in line with project programmes.
- Support the project team throughout delivery.
Requirements of Design Manager
- Previous experience as a Design Manager with a main contractor.
- Experience delivering commercial construction projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods and Building Regulations.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and meet project deadlines.
- Full UK Driving Licence
The project is a commercial build and has a long duration.
