This role plays a key part in making sure high-quality bikes are built and delivered efficiently, consistently, and in line with customer expectations and business targets.This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strong people management with a practical, organised approach to running the department day to dayReporting to the Head of Warehouse &amp; DistributionWhat you’ll be doingOperational &amp; Performance Management<ul><li>Plan and manage weekly build targets, ensuring performance and output align with sales requirements.</li><li>Monitor performance against KPIs, addressing any shortfalls and driving continuous improvement.</li><li>Maintain service level agreements and ensure consistent, high-quality output.</li><li>Organise workflow and build priorities to meet deadlines and customer commitments.</li><li>Work closely with the Head of Warehouse &amp; Distribution to improve processes and department efficiency.</li></ul>Dispatch, Delivery &amp; Systems<ul><li>Organise the build queue, ensuring orders match invoices and remain current.</li><li>Close orders and generate postage labels using Citrus Lime.</li><li>Manage consignment and packing of orders for collection.</li><li>Oversee courier relationships, including daily volumes, forecasting and performance.</li><li>Manage personal deliveries using Optimo Route.</li><li>Work with Support and Central Workshop teams to resolve quality issues.</li><li>Handle bike returns, inspections and refunds in liaison with Support.</li><li>Ensure appropriate PPE, tooling and supplies are available at all times.</li><li>Maintain provision supplies and complete monthly reporting.</li></ul>People Leadership &amp; Team Management<ul><li>Lead, motivate and develop the dispatch team to achieve performance targets and high standards of work.</li><li>Manage rotas, holiday approval, performance reviews and appraisals.</li><li>Support training and development across the team, ensuring skills and capability continue to grow.</li><li>Drive a positive team culture with clear expectations, accountability and engagement.</li><li>Ensure all colleagues work safely, efficiently and in line with company policies and Health &amp; Safety requirements.</li></ul>Skills required&nbsp;<ul><li>Proven Team management &nbsp;and Leadership experience </li><li>Commercially focused </li><li>Great communication skill internally and externally</li><li>Time management </li><li>Mechanical/technical experience is desirable but not essential</li><li>Enthusiasm for bicycles and riding is preferred </li><li>Confident with IT systems </li><li>Ability to lift boxes 25kg+ </li><li>Forklift experience preferable</li></ul>Note:&nbsp; This job description is not exhaustive and will be subject to periodic review.&nbsp; It may be amended to meet the changing needs of the business.&nbsp; The post-holder will be expected to participate in this process, and we would aim to reach agreement on any changes.Our ValuesPassion: We live and breathe cycling, and we’re here to inspire a lifelong love of riding in every cyclistKnowledge: We share our expertise to empower every rider with the confidence to enjoy every journeyCommunity: Cycling connects us all, and we foster a welcoming space where every rider belongsTeamwork: No egos.
