Occasional weekend days will be required, particularly during peak summer seasons and around Bank HolidaysPay: 17.47 per hourJob role:<ul><li>Responsible for driving a Class 2 vehicle and operating the machinery for the refuse loading</li><li>Taking responsibility for the safety of your team</li><li>Reporting any issues to the Transport team, including vehicle and machinery concerns and faults, missed collection reasons and any issues encountered on the route</li><li>Collecting and emptying commercial and residential waste and recycling refuse bins</li><li>Happy to load when requirements dictate, requiring coverage on foot of long distances</li><li>Guiding the driver in crowded areas and through tight situations</li><li>Attending training as required to remain compliant with Health and Safety regulations</li><li>Comply with regular DVLA checks</li><li>Adherence to all regulations</li></ul>A site induction and full training of the job role will be provided with familiarisation of the local areas.Requirements:<ul><li>A full and valid Class 2 LGV/HGV vehicle licence</li><li>Have no more than 6 points on your licence</li><li>Valid digital tacho card</li><li>Valid CPC card</li><li>Have a minimum of one years' experience driving a class 2 vehicle in the UK</li><li>Being personable as you will be working amongst the local community</li><li>Able to lift heavy objects, including pushing and pulling refuse and recycling bins</li><li>Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions</li></ul>Previous experience of driving a refuse lorry is preferred but not essential.
