Teaching Assistant

Lewes (Full-Time / Part-Time)

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Lewes. This role offers flexible working options, with both full-time and part-time positions available.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students in the classroom and help create a positive learning environment. The role may involve working across different year groups as well as providing 1:1 support to pupils who need additional help with their learning or development.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom
  • Providing 1:1 support for students when required
  • Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom activities
  • Encouraging student engagement and positive behaviour
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other staff members

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is patient, supportive, and passionate about helping young people succeed
  • Can adapt to working with different ages and learning needs
  • Has strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Is reliable, proactive, and committed to supporting student progress

Previous experience working in a school or with children is beneficial but not essential, as training and support can be provided.
