Daily Rate: £92.63 £100 per day

Are you a compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? A welcoming primary school in Peacehaven is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.

The school is committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a real difference by providing tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with SEMH needs, helping them achieve both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with SEMH needs, promoting their emotional wellbeing and academic progress.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to encourage positive engagement and learning.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support and interventions.
  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of the pupil's development.
  • Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Have experience supporting children with SEMH needs (school-based experience is desirable).
  • Be patient, empathetic and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Be confident implementing behaviour management strategies.
  • Hold a relevant qualification or have strong experience in a similar role.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
