Summary:Are you a curious and experienced Electrical Engineer looking for a role with real purpose? You'll be involved in all stages of our capital engineering projects, from initial idea through to commissioning, playing a vital role in providing an essential service. Although this role offers flexible/hybrid working (office/home), you will be expected to travel to any location or site within South East Water’s supply areas, as required, as part of the project(s) you are working on e.g. pre-construction and construction phase elements such as scoping or Contractor progress/design review meetings, defect reviews etc.Main responsibilities<ul><li>Development of technical solutions and coordinating work with multi-disciplinary teams {Process, Civil and Mechanical)</li><li>Production of technical reports and the ability to work independently and as a team member to carry out checking, reviews and approval of complex electrical detailed designs, to include calculations, specifications, reports and drawings.</li><li>Analysis of options and selection of technical solutions as appropriate.</li><li>Ensuring contractors designs comply with the latest company specifications and other relevant industry specifications (Wimes, IET wiring regulations etc.) and legislations.</li><li>Development of outline scheme designs</li><li>Assistance in preparation of scheme programmes, estimates and tender documentation</li></ul>You'll need: Skills / Qualifications / Experience<ul><li>HNC or a Degree in Engineering or equivalent training in the relevant area.</li><li>Working towards becoming an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer with the IET.</li><li>Extensive experience in water utilities would be advantageous.</li><li>Ability to work closely with others.</li><li>Technically competent knowing when to refer to others when required.</li><li>Good technical report writing and editorial skills, and good oral communication.</li><li>Detailed knowledge of PLC systems, HMI’s, Variable Speed Drives, Harmonic filtration, data networks, telemetry systems and Standby Generator systems.</li><li>Competent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite - knowledge of Google Workspace would be beneficial.</li></ul>​ We want to be the water company people want to be supplied by and want to work for.
