Key Responsibilities <ul> <li>Develop tooling, process specifications, and verification plans</li> <li>Lead and contribute to structured design reviews and risk assessments (PFMEA, DFM/A, DRBFM)</li> <li>Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC methods to improve output, efficiency, and quality</li> <li>Analyse production data to reduce defects, variation, and waste</li> <li>Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Facilities, Supply Chain, and Quality teams</li> <li>Mentor colleagues, lead 8D investigations, and support the delivery of improvement projects</li> <li>Engage suppliers to resolve issues, enhance component quality, and stabilise delivery performance</li> <li>Provide autonomous technical leadership and guidance on complex engineering challenges</li> </ul> Skills and Experience <ul> <li>BEng/MEng in Mechanical, Chemical, Process Engineering, or similar</li> <li>Established experience in a manufacturing engineering role within a relevant industry</li> <li>Skilled in CAD (preferably Creo), product data management tools, and GD&amp;T to BS 8888</li> <li>Strong communication and stakeholder-influencing capability</li> <li>Practical experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC methodologies (Cp/Cpk, gauge R&amp;R)</li> <li>Able to lead structured risk reviews and support others in problem-solving</li> <li>Proactive, independent, and confident working in a fast-paced technical environment</li> <li>Competent user of Microsoft Office and PPM or project-tracking systems</li> </ul> Applicants seeking a senior technical role with influence over manufacturing strategy and process development are encouraged to apply.
