Job Title: Mechanical &amp; Electrical Site Manager Water (Contract) Location: Horsham, West Sussex Contract Length: 12 Months (Starting October 2025) Rate: up to £500 a day Umbrella/Limited Overview: A leading water and environmental infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical &amp; Electrical (M&amp;E) Site Manager to support delivery of a wastewater treatment project at an organic waste processing facility in West Sussex. This is a contract role, suited to a site-based professional with strong experience across mechanical, electrical, and EICA installations within the utilities or water sector. Role Summary: Reporting to the UK Contracts Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing site-based M&amp;E construction activities from planning through to commissioning. The role requires close coordination with internal teams, subcontractors, client stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure safe, compliant and efficient delivery of all works. Key Responsibilities: Oversee mechanical, electrical and EICA installation works on site Manage construction programmes, planning, and scheduling of site activities Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, health &amp; safety standards and site procedures Manage permit to work systems, including LOTO (lock out/tag out) protocols Maintain high standards of site welfare, safety, and quality documentation Coordinate and attend meetings with client, contractor and internal teams Conduct quality audits and ensure installation aligns with required British and ISO standards Prepare site documentation including method statements, RAMS, and inspection reports Ideal Candidate Profile: HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering or related field (time-served experience also considered) Minimum 5 years' experience in M&amp;E site management, ideally within the water sector Strong electrical background advantageous Valid CSCS card and SMSTS required (NEBOSH desirable) Excellent communication and team coordination skills Willingness to work site-based with occasional travel as required

Electrician

Pyroban is the the world leader in ATEX hazard protection engineering, due to the success of the business, we are now looking for a Design Engineer experienced in Autodesk Inventor, for a 3 month period to design components and assemblies to be incorporated in systems, such as engine packages and material handling machines, predominantly fork lift trucks. Due to the nature of the work, we will require you to be on site for at least 4 out of 5 days. You will have experience of mechanical assemblies, complex fabrications, motors, shaft/bearing arrangements and rotating seals, and ideally knowledge of electrical design, such as wiring diagrams, although this is a small proportion of the work. The role requires working closely with applications and compliance engineers to ensure designs are workable and conform to legislation, interpreting customer requirements to determine best and cost effective strategies, you will have hands on problem solving and project managing experience.
