Rated Good by Ofsted, BACA is committed to high-quality education, career readiness, and strong community engagement, making it a standout choice for families in Brighton and beyond.Job DescriptionTo provide support for students with special education and disability needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Establish constructive relationships with students and interact with them according to individual needs.</li><li>Encourage students to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.</li><li>Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence. </li><li>Adapt or modify materials and resources to ensure full access to a broad and balanced curriculum.</li><li>Support the students as part of a planned inclusion programme and provide intervention strategies and programmes as requested.</li><li>Deliver intervention and support strategies for specific students as directed by the teacher.</li><li>Provide feedback to students in relation to progress, achievement and attainment under guidance of the teacher.</li><li>Assist with the development and implementation of Educational Health Care Plans / Behaviour Plans.</li><li>Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans and assist with the display of students work.</li><li>Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on student s achievement, progress and issues in a suitable format.</li><li>Provide advice and support to teachers and other support staff as the most effective methods of support for students with learning needs.</li><li>Liaise with the complex needs service as requested to receive and disseminate advice given to effectively support the students across curriculum areas.</li><li>Promote good student behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy and encourage students to take responsibility for their own behaviour.</li><li>Liaise sensitively and effectively with parent/carer(s); and participate in feedback with parent/carer(s) under the teacher s supervision.</li><li>Assist the SENDCO in the development, monitoring and review of the students EHCP.</li><li>Support the teacher by contributing to the delivery of local and national learning strategies and recording achievement, progress and providing feedback to the teacher. </li><li>Provide clerical/admin.
