Our public client is looking to recruit a Lead HR Consultant on a 5-6 month initial contract to provide HR advice and operational support to managers and employees within a dedicated business area. Lead Consultants have responsibility for one or more HR specialist areas and report to a functional HR&amp;OD Manager, and/or operate as a professional/ technical specialist working with services to improve organisational performance through the provision of leading-edge HR&amp;OD practices. They build and maintain strong and productive relationships to deliver a range of strategic and operational solutions. The key accountabilities of this role are: <ul> <li>To provide managers with consistent, pragmatic and effective advice on the management and resolution of people issues covering a wide range of HR areas, mitigating risk to the organisation whilst optimising resources to deliver highly effective and creative solutions.</li> <li>To work in partnership with the client group at a senior level to establish an excellent understanding of their service and the challenges they face to proactively identify opportunities for operational and strategic intervention capitalising on external best practice;</li> <li>To manage HR&amp;OD casework and projects and provide a high quality, professional and solution-based service to clients.</li> </ul> Experience <ul> <li>CIPD qualified to post graduate diploma level, or able to evidence equivalent knowledge and understanding of HR &amp; OD disciplines.</li> <li>Ability to use a variety of digital platforms relevant to job role and understanding of how new technologies can support and transform HR&amp;OD services.</li> <li>Significant practical experience of advising customers on complex case work or within a specialist area of HR &amp; OD, applying policy, relevant case law and a balanced approach to risk and resolving issues promptly.</li> </ul> If this role is of interest, then please apply immediately.

Lead HR Consultant

Administrator We are looking for an experienced Administrator to coordinate the clergy appointment process, process DBS checks for new and continuing clergy and provide support for clergy HR processes. This is a hybrid-working role with onsite working in Hove or Chichester. Position: Administrator Salary: Starting salary for this post will be £24,837 per annum Location: Hybrid (either Hove or Chichester - with a requirement to work at least one day each week at the other site, precise working pattern to be agreed, with the option to work remotely for part of the week). Hours: Full-time, 35 per week hours per week Contract: Permanent Closing Date: midnight on 7 th September 2025 About the Role You will manage clergy appointments and provide HR administration support, which includes: <ul> <li>Liaising with suffragan bishops, archdeacons and PAs on clergy appointment adverts, applications, and interviews. </li> <li>Managing the Pathways portal, forwarding application packs and maintaining records. </li> <li>Coordinating shortlisting, Right to Work checks and safer recruitment compliance. </li> <li>Distributing applications to bishops, archdeacons and parish representatives, ensuring timely, accurate communication throughout the recruitment process.</li> <li>Preparing and manage clergy statements, property licences, and departure notices. </li> <li>Maintaining and update personal files, vacancy progress records, and distribution lists. </li> <li>Liaising with other dioceses on clergy movements, ensure role descriptions are current, and notify relevant officers and publications of appointments, departures, and retirements in line with policy.</li> </ul> About You With a good general standard of education, you will have experience of complex administrative processes and HR-relevant office experience.
