Your attention to details means that data will be correctly recorded and work management systems updated accurately. It’s crucial that you’re an agile team player and confident working alone. We provide a company van as this role involves working at different locations within the Maidenhead area. Working hours are 37 hours per week (7.00am to 7.00pm, Monday to Friday). After your initial training, you’ll be required to participate in a 1in5 standby rota to respond to incidents out of hours and at weekends. In return, we pay a standby Allowance (c. £2,000 per annum) plus overtime rates. We complete water sample testing at speed and with care. You’ll support analysts with laboratory preparations and help perform analytical tasks within the Chemistry section. You’re adaptable and focused. You’ll operate instrumentation, assist with maintenance and prepare equipment. It’s vital that laboratory data is accurately recorded so you have attention to detail and precision. We offer a vibrant, friendly and busy team environment. You’ll receive plenty of coaching and support to develop your analytical techniques and understanding so that you can continue to progress your scientific career at South East Water. As you grow your skills, we’ll increase your base salary from £29,337 - £37,533 per annum via a clear salary progression scheme. Our technicians know how crucial water is to the community, which is why they are happy to work out-of-office hours when needed. Our work patterns are 07:00-15:00, 08:00-16:00 and 09:00-17:00. Once you’re trained, you’ll join a standby rota to provide out of hours assistance.
