Salary will be reviewed after probation.Office Hours - Onsite 9-5/5.30pmWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Manager (Solicitor) to lead a busy Litigation Department. In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee a team of 3-4 fee earners, managing workloads, processes, and performance while also handling complex and defended legal matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled litigator with strong leadership abilities to make a real impact in a growing practice, or a step up into a management role as a career move.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage and supervise departmental workloads, task allocation, and performance.</li><li>Conduct one-to-one meetings, monitor performance, and manage annual leave.</li><li>Develop and update process plans for claims, mapping from inception to eviction.</li><li>Maintain and update departmental templates and procedures.</li><li>Ensure effective time recording and task target setting.</li><li>Liaise with clients, defendants, courts, solicitors, and managing agents.</li><li>Assess complaints and report to the client and Practice COLP.</li><li>Attend legal update conferences (in person or virtually).</li><li>Undertake fee-earning work, including defended and complex cases (fast track, intermediate track, multi-track).</li><li>Draft legal documents and ensure compliance with court directions and orders.</li><li>Issue possession claims (online and paper applications).</li><li>Prepare notices seeking possession, applications, and advocate/counsel instructions.</li><li>Maintain accurate case management and status records.</li></ul>Skills &amp; Experience Required<ul><li>Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years' PQE (CILEX lawyers with equivalent experience considered).</li><li>Proven management experience, or the readiness to step into a management role.</li><li>Strong knowledge of landlord &amp; tenant law (or willingness to undertake in-house training).</li><li>Good understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and litigation processes.</li><li>Strong IT skills and proficiency with case management systems.</li><li>Highly organised, with excellent communication and leadership skills.</li></ul>Apply today online for this excellent opportinity to move your career forward.This role is being managed by Debbir Foster - Office Angels - Tunbridge Wells - (phone number removed)Or please send your CV in confidence to (url removed) and (url removed).Office Angels is an employment agency and business.
