Our client, a leading organisation in the procurement supply chain sector, is currently seeking a Head of Commercial/Procurement to join their team on a contract basis in Brighton. This role offers a hybrid working model, requiring presence in the office eight days per month. Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Leading the entire commercial lifecycle, including procurement, contract management, and supplier relationship management</li><li>Ensuring compliance with best practices, legislative requirements, and organisational guidelines</li><li>Developing and executing commercial strategies that support business continuity and outstanding supplier outcomes</li><li>Managing the commercial team and fostering collaborative relationships across the organisation</li><li>Overseeing major projects and outsourced contracts</li><li>Providing innovative commercial solutions and maintaining robust contractual frameworks</li><li>Reporting to the Director of Finance and playing a pivotal role in decision-making processes</li></ul> Job Requirements: <ul><li>MCIPS, BIFM, or equivalent professional qualification</li><li>Proven experience in strategic procurement and contract management, especially with major outsourced contracts</li><li>Strong knowledge of contract law, supplier management, and commercial best practice</li><li>Demonstrable leadership skills, with experience managing and developing teams</li><li>Excellent relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation abilities</li><li>Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills</li><li>Analytical and problem-solving mindset, able to make sound decisions and assimilate complex information</li><li>Experience working with organisational guidelines, regulatory bodies, and compliance requirements</li></ul> The Team: The Commercial Team plays a vital role in supporting and advising the organisation throughout the entire commercial lifecycle.
