Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Manage and supervise a team of 3-4 fee earners, overseeing workloads, tasking, and performance.</li><li>Conduct regular 1-to-1 meetings, manage annual leave, and support performance development.</li><li>Plan and review processes from claim inception to eviction, ensuring efficiency and compliance.</li><li>Maintain and improve departmental templates and procedures.</li><li>Monitor time recording and performance targets.</li><li>Liaise with clients, courts, other solicitors, managing agents, and defendants.</li><li>Handle client complaints and escalate/report when required.</li><li>Attend legal update sessions, both in-person and virtually.</li><li>Undertake a personal caseload, including defended and complex cases (fast-track, intermediate, and multi-track).</li><li>Draft legal documents and ensure compliance with court orders and deadlines.</li><li>Issue possession claims (online and paper), draft possession notices, and prepare instructions for advocates/counsel.</li><li>Keep case management systems and internal records accurate and up to date.</li></ul> Experience and Required Skills: <ul><li>Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years' PQE (CILEX-qualified candidates with relevant experience also considered).</li><li>Previous experience managing or supervising a legal team-or readiness to step into a leadership role.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of landlord and tenant law (or willingness to undergo in-house training).</li><li>Good understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and court litigation process.</li><li>Excellent organisational and IT skills.</li><li>Self-motivated and capable of working independently.</li><li>Confident communicator, both within a team and in client-facing scenarios.</li><li>Able to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and maintain high attention to detail.</li><li>Committed to confidentiality and quality service.</li><li>Positive, adaptable, and solution-focused mindset.</li><li>Contract: Permanent, full-time</li><li>Holidays: 25 days + all bank holidays (pro-rata)</li><li>Salary: Competitive, based on qualifications and experience</li><li>Location: Office-based in Uckfield, East Sussex</li></ul>If your application is successful, a consultant from HRGO Recruitment will be in touch to discuss the next steps.
