Job Overview - Senior Quantity Surveyor Rail

Atheray Stone are currently looking to speak to Senior Quantity Surveyors with strong experience within the rail infrastructure sector to work for an established main contractor based in the London / Kent area.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within Rail or Civils for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor. The position will be responsible for managing a number of Rail projects rangine in value from inception to completion, managing a smaller team of AQS to QS level staff.

Salary & Benefits - Senior Quantity Surveyor Rail

Salary on offer is circa £65kto £75k+ benefits including car / allowance, travel expenses healthcare and pension. Negotiable for the right candidates.

Candidate profile - Senior Quantity Surveyor Rail

• Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management
• At least 6 years industry experience, progressing to high QS or SQS level
• Previous experience in the Rail Infrastructure environment working on the contractor side
• Commutable to Kent & London, with full UK driving licence
• Chartered or working towards chartership

Responsibilities - Senior Quantity Surveyor Rail

• Manage projects Commercially from pre construction through to final accounting
• Compile Monthly CVR reports to Commercial Manager
• Manage Sub contractors / drafting sub contract agreements
• Client facing with commercial matters, managing the projects commercial performance in a collaborative way
• Management of more junior members of the commercial team from Graduate QS to QS level.
• Administer contracts under NEC4 Lump Sum, ideally with strong contractual knowledge on this suite of contract.
• Act in the best interests of the contractor at all times
