You will be working as part of a 10 man production team. Ideal candidate must have an interest in precision machining to ISO tolerances. An eye for detail and ability to read a 2D cad drawings.
Desirable Skills:
- Competent and capable of using with Colchester 600 manual lathes.
- 5000vs manual milling m/c.
- Machining high and low value metal and plastic parts to tight tolerances up to +-0.005mm
- Competent in using NC saw, manual lathe and manual mill.
- Practiced in interpreting technical drawings.
- Able to machine to tight tolerances.
- Enthusiastic, forward thinking, able to work under own initiative.
- Flexible team player.
- Able to demonstrate a passion for 'practical' engineering through hobbies, qualifications, or professional experience.
- Any welding experience is a bonus
You will be machining materials such as:
Stainless steel but includes
Aluminium,
Brass,
Bronze,
Igus,
Plastics.
Salary range
- £28,000 - £32,000
