As a Warehouse Operative / Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations and efficient delivery of goods to customers. Working as part of a friendly and professional team, you will contribute to maintaining excellent service standards and operational efficiency.<ul><li>Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for delivery</li><li>Loading and unloading goods safely and accurately</li><li>Assisting with route planning to optimise time and fuel usage</li><li>Maintaining accurate stock records and participating in regular stock checks</li><li>Rotating perishable items and monitoring expiry dates</li><li>Reporting vehicle maintenance and safety issues promptly</li><li>Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards at all times</li><li>Providing excellent customer service during deliveries</li></ul>Driving Duties (approximately 20% of the role)<ul><li>Driving a delivery vehicle to surrounding counties, including different areas each day (as far as North London/Essex and Hampshire)</li><li>Completing all runs within the day - no overnight stays required</li><li>Making approximately 10 deliveries per day</li><li>Driving a standard 3.5 tonne maximum vehicle (can be driven on a standard full UK driving licence)</li><li>Minor offences acceptable (maximum 6 points)</li><li>Due to company insurance restrictions, you must be 25 years or older to drive the company vehicle</li></ul>Requirements A full UK driving licence is essential (maximum 6 points for minor offences). Due to insurance requirements, you must be aged 25 or over. Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, and a forklift licence would be an advantage. You should be physically capable of manual handling and lifting, able to work on your own initiative, and demonstrate reliability and strong communication skills.
