My Client is seeking an additional Warehouse Operative (Picker/Packer) due to organic growth This is a Permanent opportunity has arisen within a family run company located in the Petworth area for an Warehouse Operative (Picker/Packer) Key duties A warehouse operative role provides a varied work day that includes: <ul> <li>Assisting with the unloading of vehicles and the checking in of stock</li> <li>Sorting and placing items on to racks, and shelves.</li> <li>Collecting items from throughout the warehouse, preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule.</li> <li>Performing warehouse inventory controls via scanner and or through a computer.</li> <li>Stock counting and location checks.</li> </ul> As a warehouse operative you will be working both alone and as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and strive to maintain the business performance targets. This role best suits upbeat and self-motivated individuals who enjoy working systematically and productively. The fast paced and energised environment relies on organisation and efficiency and with so much ground to cover in the line of duty it is important to ensure that you have a moderate level of fitness to enable you to comfortably carry out your tasks. Picking and packing products can involve a substantial amount of manual handling including bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and lifting. Having a good range of mobility is important to ensure you can work safely within health and safety regulations without placing undue strain on your body. The Warehouse is located on the outskirt of the town of Petworth, and as such will require the successful applicant to be able to drive and have access to a car. Job Title: Warehouse Manager Location: Gatwick Employment Type: Full time / Permanent Reports To: Operations Manager Shifts: Monday to Friday Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and results driven Warehouse Manager with strong B2C experience to oversee daily operations in our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience managing high volume ecommerce fulfilment and a solid understanding of warehouse management systems, will be expected to be hands when required but not at all times. Key Responsibilities: Manage all day to day warehouse operations which includes receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and returns. Ensure efficient and accurate order fulfilment. Implement and optimize processes for inventory control, space utilization, and material handling. Use WMS systems to track inventory, monitor performance and generate reports. Lead, train and supervise a team of warehouse operatives and team leads. Coordinate with customer service, logistics, and ecommerce teams to ensure smooth order flow and resolve issues. Monitor KPIs such as order accuracy, on time shipping, inventory shrinkage, and return rates. Maintain compliance with health &amp; safety regulations and company policies. Requirements: Proven experience (3-5 years minimum) as a Warehouse Manager or similar role in a B2C/e-commerce environment. Experience with WMS and ecommerce platforms. Leadership and people management skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with logistics and shipping software and processes.
