Rotating zone areas in the Southeast and the opportunity to progress onto HIAB/Moffat.Main Duties<ul><li>To carry out multidrop deliveries between our depots and customers in a safe and efficient way. </li><li>Carry out manual handling of goods.</li><li>Must be able to load and strap own vehicle for next day's deliveries.</li><li>Able to switch between 3.5 to HGV 2 if required.</li><li>Transporting goods between our depots and trade and domestic customers</li><li>Ensuring your vehicle is clean, safe and your load is legally roadworthy.</li><li>Undertaking vehicle safety checks, basic repairs, and maintenance.</li><li>Overseeing and assisting with loading and unloading.</li><li>Updating delivery paperwork, logbooks and tracking mileage.</li><li>Complying with all relevant driving regulations and rules.</li><li>Staying informed on road closers, diversions, and traffic jams.</li><li>Reporting any delays or accidents.</li><li>Driver training given on site.</li><li>Must be able drive a flat bed and use company mobile and SAT NAV</li><li>Able to work with weekly rotating shifts to enable a coverage of 5 zone areas in the Southeast.</li></ul>Qualifications And Experience<ul><li>Must HGV Class 2 licence (with no more than 6 points on licence)</li><li>Pass a pre-requisite certified medical.</li><li>Must have 6 months + commercial driving experience.</li><li>Be physically fit.</li><li>Hold a Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC).</li><li>Experience with GPS navigation, mapping, and route planning.</li><li>Ability to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device.</li><li>Be willing to train into the Moffatt and HIAB 26t. </li><li>Good attention to detail to ensure that correct products are loaded/unloaded.</li><li>Must carry out manual handling on products.</li><li>Good communicator and comfortable dealing with customers</li><li>Ability to successfully handle difficult situations in a calm manner. </li><li>Must have a flexible attitude and readiness to adapt swiftly to change.</li><li>Be self-motivated and have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.</li></ul>Working Hours<ul><li>Monday to Friday (no weekend work)</li><li>Standards contract hours are 08:00 to 17:30 (but drivers have a more flexible approach so they can miss peak traffic)</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Standard 20 days bookable holiday with an extra three over the Christmas period, so 23 in total.</li><li>No Bank Holidays and Shut on the last working day before Christmas and open in January.</li><li>Company pension</li></ul>We will try to respond to reply to all applicants.
