SEN Teacher

  • Daily Rate - £160-£220 per day (based on salary and proof of pay scale)
  • Location: Horsham
  • Job Type: Part-time

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a mainstream secondary school, focusing on supporting a specific child with their educational needs. This role involves assisting in the writing and planning of personalized educational plans to enhance the learning experience of the child.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to develop tailored educational plans that cater to the specific needs of the child.
  • Implement and adapt educational materials and resources to meet the learning requirements of the child.
  • Monitor and assess the child's progress, adapting strategies as needed to ensure effective learning outcomes.
  • Provide one-on-one support to the child, focusing on enhancing their academic skills and confidence.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and other educators about the child's progress and any changes to educational plans.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a focus on Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Experience in a similar role within a mainstream secondary school environment.
  • Strong understanding of the educational needs and challenges faced by children with SEN.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills to create effective educational plans.
  • Compassionate and patient approach, with a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.
