Position: Technical Sales Engineer
Location: West Sussex (Hybrid / Field Based)
Salary: 45,000 - 50,000 Basic + Individual Bonus + Company Bonus + Benefits

Our client is a well-established UK manufacturer of bespoke process and packaging machinery, supplying high-quality capital equipment to customers across a range of manufacturing industries. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join their commercial team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing customer relationships while identifying new business opportunities across the UK. This is a consultative sales role focused on understanding customer requirements and delivering tailored engineering solutions.

Technical Sales Engineer Position Overview

• Develop new business opportunities and grow existing customer accounts.
• Conduct customer site visits to understand technical requirements.
• Prepare quotations and technical proposals.
• Manage projects from enquiry through to order.
• Liaise with internal engineering teams to develop bespoke solutions.
• Maintain CRM records and sales pipeline.
• Attend customer meetings, demonstrations and exhibitions.

Technical Sales Engineer Position Requirements

• Previous experience in a Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer or Applications Engineer position.
• Experience selling capital equipment, process machinery, automation or similar engineering solutions.
• Strong technical and commercial understanding.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK.

Technical Sales Engineer Position Remuneration

• 45,000 - 50,000 basic salary
