Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an established and highly respected independent planning consultancy in the search for a Senior Planner to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a planner looking to take the next step in their career with a well-regarded consultancy that delivers high-quality planning advice across a diverse range of residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.

The Role

As a Senior Planner, you will:

  • Manage your own caseload of planning projects from initial instruction through to determination.
  • Prepare, submit and manage a wide variety of planning applications.
  • Provide expert planning advice to clients and colleagues across the wider business.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering high-quality planning solutions.
  • Work across an exciting mix of residential, commercial, leisure and rural development projects.
  • Collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team while taking responsibility for projects independently.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Around 3-4 years' recent experience within a planning consultancy.
  • MRTPI or AssocRTPI accreditation.
  • Experience independently managing planning projects.
  • Knowledge of the Sussex and Surrey planning landscape (preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and client management skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
