General Catering Assistant - Gatwick
About the Role
Working in our Gatwick unit, you will play a vital role in ensuring that flights are fully catered and depart on time. You will be responsible for handling, preparing and packing food to the standard set by each of the airlines we serve within a specified time.
Contracts are for up to 40 hours per week, working shifts on a rota basis and will include a mixture of evening and weekends.
- You must have a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work
- You must enjoy working as part of team in a fast moving environment where deadlines are tight to ensure that flights depart on time.
- Basic numeracy skills
- Basic checking skills
- Be willing to maintain a clean and safe workstation, working in a manner that promotes good health and safety practices, wearing any personal protective equipment provided.
- Be willing to undertake some manual handling/bending and reaching as part of your normal duties.
If you are successful we will provide you with full training on all our processes and systems. As part of our recruitment process we carry out a full 5 year employment check and criminal records check on all successful applicants in order to comply with Civil Aviation Authority regulations. This can take up to 4 weeks to complete.
