Manager Software Product Development Excellence : Elekta

DESCRIPTION

The Manager Software Product Development Excellence has an agile and collaborative approach with the desire to transform and to drive change. Your role will be to effectively communicate digital transformation vision and plans to cross-functional international team member and management. You will develop our operational strategy, using a global view of our tool and support requirements to improve all operational practices through its transformation. You will also be responsible for providing training and guidance on operational practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works with the Global PMO and pertinent leaders to develop resourcing strategies and process improvements to ensure optimum support for RT Application projects, ways of working and software product development activities;
• Work in concert with various stakeholders to make the necessary adjustments in order to optimize procedures.  Constantly seek optimization through feedback loops with stakeholders; 
• Strategy development, content creation and execution by taking a lean and agile approach;
• Responsible in overseeing a range of prioritized RT Application projects (Concept Exploration and Product Creation);
• Ensures project activity meets agreed project objectives and provides advice and support to project partners on how project evidence and information has to be presented and reported. Participates in project reviews, approvals, and gating processes; 
• Support training and change management efforts as new tools and/or processes are established/evolved.  Maximize employee adoption while minimizing resistance to change;
• Manages the Operational Excellence team and provides performance feedback and goal-setting, conducts annual performance assessments and skill development and training.  
• Get well-acquainted with the different systems and tools used at Elekta.

QUALIFICATIONS  

• Bachelors degree in engineering or computer sciences or related field required;
• Medical Device knowledge and experience and understanding of software development standards;
• Experience with team management, ensuring adequate training of new team members, with the ability to manage and motivate virtual and cross-functional project teams; Knowledge on project management responsibilities;
• Experience creating processes by considering input from multiple teams over multiple geographies and culture who have created different systems legacy;
• Capable of proposing a software development strategy for combining legacy systems and legacy ways of working ,and improving that over time;
• 10 years of experience in supporting software application teams developing software;
• Experience with working with an international teams and ability to be flexible by adapting quickly to changing priorities;
• Understanding of operational processes, requirements and Experience defining and optimizing processes;
• A self-starter with the desire to work in a changing and growth environment;
• ​Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and commitment to quality;
• Excellent leadership, management and interpersonal skills;
• Excellent communication (written and oral) in English. Proficiency communicating in French is an asset.
