Role Overview:
Hardware and Software Service Contracts are a key revenue stream for Varian and the core of our Service business. Varian’s Service contract and software support agreements (SSA) are flexible and our customers can choose to select various entitlements based on their requirements.
Partnering with the District Managers, Account Managers and Customers, the Service & Sales Contract Manager role is responsible to drive and increase the contract capture rate of both hardware and software service contracts, and the levels of contract being sold in the UK and Ireland market.
This role will also have the responsibility for identifying market opportunities and creating innovative services to open up new revenue streams in collaboration.


Role will involve travel throughout UK & Ireland to attend customer site meetings. Role Responsibilities: • Review contract in place at time of contract renewal, to identify upsell opportunities and develop sales strategies to promote the uptake of additional contract offerings and entitlements. • Drive the sale of upgrade Software Support Agreements (to allow customers to take advantage of Varian’s regular maintenance releases and major releases, maximising customer experience. • Work with product Marketing on developing new contract products for the UK and Ireland market • Understand the market dynamics and influences affecting service offerings in the UK and Ireland market, such as the UK Radiotherapy Service Specification, and propose contract offerings to support these. • Work with the Account Manager responding to tenders and the District Manager of the account.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Degree level Qualifications in a relevant area. A business qualification would be an advantage.

• Experience in Contract Sales, contract negotiation and pricing.

• Experience of developing, packaging and implementing service offerings and promotions.

• Prior experience working within a highly regulated environment/industry.

• Knowledge of NHS procurement would be beneficial.
