Transport Co-ordinator

We are looking to recruit a Transport Co-ordinator for our busy transport office. Working Monday-Friday 9am-6pm (hours can be flexible for the right candidate).

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate, up to date supportive administration tasks to our transport manager.

You will require exceptional administration skills and have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office packages as well as be willing to learn in house computer databases and online systems.

This role would suit an individual who has a keen eye for detail whilst working under pressure & too tight deadlines with the ability to work on own initiative.

  • Overtime rates paid after 9 hours worked on week days, daily at 1.25hrs

Responsibilities of Role:

Key responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • To assist the transport manager
  • Fleet planning, such as PMI’s, Tachos, Tax, Tail lift servicing, MOTS
  • Keeping records for trailers
  • Checking vehicles for Low emission zones and T charge
  • Monthly reports for tyre checks
  • Reporting on London lorry control
  • Maintain TRL Portal for service providers
  • Incident management, logging and filing incident forms
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with all Service providers.
  • Updating new vehicle information to third parties such as fleet insurance, service providers
  • Monitoring and maintaining infringement recording and tacho regulations to include adding and removing drivers, preparing infringement notifications
  • Help out with other areas of the business when required.
  • Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment.

Requirements of Role:

 

  • Must have 2 + years’ administration preferably in transport or logistics background.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Previous office environment advantageous
  • Knowledge of CPC, Tachographs, HGV and Driver Hours preferred
  • Full UK driving license advantageous

  • Occasional later finishes to accommodate the Transport office defect procedure and driver queries
