Sales Manager

Based: Crawley/hybrid working with regular travel

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Manager to join our Training & Simulation (TTS) business domain.

What the role has to offer:

  • Working on multi-entity and/or international projects and contributing to the ongoing success and growth of the business

  • The flexibility to split your time between the Crawley office, working from home and travelling on the road to meet with your customers.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Sales for TTS, on a day-to-day basis, you’ll be involved in:

  • Objectively delivering your sales pipeline

  • Preparing your sales forecasts and targets and managing your targets to ensure they are met or bettered

  • Qualifying specific opportunities and preparing business operations information for validation within the business

  • Developing the winning strategy to your strategic opportunities, organising the creation of partnerships and teaming agreements with key external channels

About you

Ideally, you’ll:

  • Have proven experience of managing sales and/or business development within a competitive Sales, Marketing, Bids and Projects environment (multi-entity or matrix environments)

  • Have experience of selling into OEM’s, working with specialist integrators and leading sales to completion

  • Be experienced and adept at building and managing strong, long lasting relationships across customers, partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders

  • Possess excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills with experience driving multidisciplinary teams to successful bid completion (experience aligning deliverables/KPIs with customer requirements and submission deadlines)

  • Have excellent planning and delivery skills combined with commercial, financial and business acumen

  • Knowledge and experience of Shipley  /Miller Heiman / other sales best practices – desirable
