Job title: Senior Project Manager

Location: Crawley, West Sussex but working from home / hybrid options available

Are you looking for an opportunity to work in a rapidly expanding business unit with great scope for progression? This exciting role will be managing projects that are developing world-leading technology on the Type31 Frigates. With a pipeline of years’ worth of business, this role also offers a strong level of security for the long term.

We are looking for someone with strong leadership, professional project management expertise, excellent stakeholder management, team building skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and managing risks and opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leadership and management – motivating and supporting the Project Team
  • Managing stakeholders, in particular customer and supplier relationships
  • Defining Project Execution Strategies and leading the creation of Project Baselines and structures through the bid phase of the lifecycle – including requirements capture, PBS/WBS/OBS, work package definition, estimating, risk and opportunity analysis and creation of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
  • Ensuring that the project maintains a robust baseline throughout the lifecycle, and that forecasts are accurate
  • Ensuring that appropriate KPIs are established and controlled for Project outcomes
  • Management of the Project Cash profile, ensuring timely invoicing of the customer and addressing any overdue payments

What are we looking for?

  • Proven project management experience, leading multi-disciplinary teams, ideally within the defence (or related) industry sector
  • Complex system management experience
  • Ideally experience managing multi-national projects
