Our Opportunity

The Through -life support engine (TSE) is a UK wide hub organisation servicing all UK business lines with a multi skilled support team. The team supports products and systems throughout their lifecycles from the early stages of product concept, bid and development right through to system manufacture, delivery, into service and disposal.

TSE comprises of Supportability Engineering, Modelling, Integrated Design and Support (which consists of Component Engineering and Obsolescence Management), Product Support Engineering and Technical Publications and Training. The service offerings are tailored to our customers’ needs and requirements by an expert team of service solution architects.

As the Product support Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering solutions and support to customers and maintaining those solutions throughout the lifecycle of the product. You will act as a technical expert and point of contact for any engineering queries related to the product, providing assistance to business areas, engineering functions and the user community.

Day to day you will:

  • Develop and consolidate technical familiarity with the products’ design and implementation

  • Support the addressing of reliability and supportability issues arising in the product.

  • Provide technical expertise to manufacturing, test, and repair activities for the products and help implement improvements.

  • Liaise with other team members, project teams, disciplines, groups and subcontractors on technical and programme matters.

  • Undertake feasibility studies and the preparation of proposals and tenders.

  • Help develop  staff  as  appropriate  through  sharing  of  knowledge,  based  on  development  of  your  own  skills  and product experience.

  • Guarantee effective collaboration between engineering and other disciplines in the execution of all works relating to the product.

  • Ensure  that  designs  are  developed,  documented,  tested,  controlled  and  maintained  in  accordance  with  company procedures

⚡ About You

You will have a solutions mind-set and be adept at stakeholder management as you liaise with multiple functions to achieve the best outcomes. You should be an excellent communicator and capable of delivering technical information to customers in a way this is understandable. An Engineering degree or HNC / HND qualification with relevant experience in a similar field.
