Full Time: Monday – Friday 9 – 5pm

 

Interparcel have an amazing opportunity to join our Head Office Revenue Protection Team.

A bit about Interparcel

Interparcel are an online parcel delivery booking and comparison service. We have a wide selection of discounted UK, European and International parcel & package delivery services from the major worldwide carriers including UPS, TNT, FedEx, DPD, CitySprint, DX, Parcelforce, and Evri. They also offer specialised services including same day, urgent delivery, and pallet delivery and collection. We run bespoke software which means as a business or eCommerce business you can find the right price and handle all your parcel sending efficiently, in one place.

We pride ourselves with our customer service and are looking for a competent and proactive Credit Controller who has excellent analytical skills and is able to work proactively, have excellent communication skills and able to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Nature and Scope:

Principle Responsibilities:

  • To check and manage courier invoices, identify any mis-declared items and many any additional charges applicable
  • Raising additional invoices to customers
  • Manage and be responsible for surcharges
  • Chase couriers for credits
  • Credit control, being responsible for chasing outstanding payments from customers and couriers alike
  • Be responsible for and manage invoice entry on to the system
  • Production of reports and analysis of courier performance
  • Identify and recommend process and operational performance
  • Have the confidence to communicate with people at all levels internally and externally, building long lasting relationships to chase outstanding payments
  • The ability to resolve queries at the highest level of service Person specification
  • Highly analytical and numerate
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Very strong interpersonal and influencing skills; able to build relationships and trust with stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbally and written.
  • Experience of managing a small team
  • Inquisitive – always asking questions and looking for ways to continually improve
  • Ideally previous experience in credit control/customer facing finance role, although not essential
  • Highly proficient with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
