Active Sussex

Active Sussex is one of 45 County Sports Partnerships in England, and is largely funded by the Government to coordinate and facilitate the delivery of sport and physical activity initiatives in the City of Brighton & Hove and across East and West Sussex. Our purpose is to help drive improved access to, and an increased participation in, sport and physical activity in Sussex. We aim to bring together all key partners involved in the sector at a local level, and to strategically advocate for sustained investment in sport at local and national levels. Active Sussex is committed to supporting a high quality sporting infrastructure through which activity can be delivered; its core team is contracted by Sport England to primarily support Governing Bodies of Sport and Local Authorities linking them to other key community sport and physical activity providers in the public and private sector (e.g. Education, Health, Leisure Trusts and Business amongst others). Active Sussex is the brand name for the Sussex County Sports Partnership Trust, a company limited by guarantee (Company No. 6166961 / Charity Registration No. 1122082).
