Our aim is to makes a difference to the lives of people across the South-East so that everyone can maximise their potential and achieve their aspirations.
CXK deliver the National Citizen Service (NCS) Programme across areas of East Sussex and Kent.
NCS is a government funded personal development programme for 15-17 year olds which aims to support the participants in developing skills that will help them in the future, such as teamwork, leadership and communication skills. As well as creating a more engaged and positive society through the delivery of a social action project where the participants work together to plan and deliver a project that will benefit their local community.
NCS is based on a set of 6 principles which make up the NCS Ethos, challenge, social mix, increased responsibility and independence, social action, inspiration and reflection. The ethos is imbedded in every part of the NCS programme.
CXK recruit NCS Team Leaders and Assistant Team Leaders throughout the year on fixed term contracts to deliver the three-four week long programmes.
