About us

Durrington High School is having another super year and our examination results in 2013 reflected a decade of year on year improvement. In 2013 86% of students achieved 5+A*-C 86%, 65% 5+ A* - C including English and Mathematics; and we want to continue improving. If you are interested in making a difference and being part of a vibrant and successful school, we want to hear from you. Our year groups are larger than average 360 and we have been oversubscribed for the last five years. We are very proud of this, and our students are our greatest ambassadors. As a successful and thriving school we were asked to expand by West Sussex and look forward to welcoming a Y7 in 2015 when Age of Transfer changes in the Worthing area. There will be significant investment in our site and facilities to accommodate this. We have established the Durrington Multi Academy Trust (DMAT) and Durrington High School is the lead school within our Trust having converted to an Academy 1 April 2014. Students and staff will see little change; it will be ‘business as usual’ and it provides us with many potential opportunities to continue to develop our learning and teaching further. We are delighted that our Trust has representation from Brighton University, Northbrook College and the Livingstone Foundation. We wish to further develop links and educational research with all providers of Further and Higher education, employers and the local community.
