About us
The Hanover Community Association (HCA) is the small charity that manages the Hanover Centre in the heart of the Hanover area of Brighton. Hanover has approximately 4,000 households, a number of whom use the Community Centre. We lease the Centre building from Brighton and Hove City Council, and receive no Council or Government grants. The upkeep of the Victorian building is the responsibility the Association, all volunteers who live in Hanover and believe having a ‘Village Hall’ helps our community thrive. We raise some of our expenses through the hiring out of our halls and meeting rooms to local groups and resident’s social activities but we also hold fundraising events throughout the year to raise additional funds.
