Situated on a beautiful hilltop location with stunning views of Brighton, Varndean College is a highly successful and unique sixth form college offering academic excellence. With an outstanding academic track record, where students become academically accomplished and flourish as part of a welcoming, inspirational and close-knit family, the College offers over 30 traditional A Levels, a diverse range of Advanced Vocational Courses, as well as the prestigious and internationally recognised International Baccalaureate Diploma. Varndean is the only state-funded college in Sussex to offer this IB qualification. In addition, Varndean College offers a Foundation Level programme, including GCSEs and Level 2 vocational courses. With approximately 2000 students aged 16-19, Varndean provides a real community ethos with outstanding support, where students thrive and where we put student happiness at the heart of everything we do. In its recent Ofsted inspection, Varndean College was rated as Outstanding for Personal Development, Behaviour and Attitudes, and High Needs.
Varndean College also offers a range of qualification courses for adult learning within the local community, including courses in counselling, childcare, ESOL and GCSEs.
